Background

The Scottish Church Society was founded in 1892 to "defend and advance Catholic doctrine as set forth in the Ancient Creeds, and embodied in the Standards of the Church of Scotland."

It took as it's motto "Ask for the Old Paths, where is the good way, and walk therein." Since then, the Society has been concerned to remain true to its principles while engaging with a rapidly changing world.

It is in this spirit that the Society has restated it's Aims and presents them to its members and the Church, praying to Almighty God that they may of service to both.
